In field trials, the Maxforce Tick Management System reduced tick populations by as much as 80 percent after just one year. The rate of infection in ticks that remained in the landscape also decreased. While 25 percent of nymphal ticks commonly carry Lyme disease in areas where this tick-borne disease is a problem, the Maxforce Tick Management System reduced the percentage of infected ticks to just 7 percent of the total population after the first year.

The total number of ticks present in the landscape was reduced by 97 percent by the end of the second year of treatment, based on field trials.
