How it Works
Illoxan
® 3C herbicide provides effective postemergence control of goosegrass (silver crabgrass, crowfootgrass) in established bermudagrass turf when applied during the 1-leaf to 1-tiller growth stages. It is absorbed primarily through the foliage. Visual injury is apparent approximately 2–3 weeks after application. Applied according to label directions, Illoxan will not damage bermudagrass turf or cause ugly brown patches common with older arsenicals-based herbicides.
FAQ
Q: How does Illoxan compare with older herbicides?
A: Some herbicides kill goosegrass but leave brown patches. Illoxan controls goosegrass throughout the season on established turf, but doesn't leave those patches, regardless of hot or damp conditions.
Q: Will rainfall and irrigation affect the efficacy of Illoxan?
A: No. Within an hour after application, Illoxan becomes rainfast and remains effective.
Q: If I apply Illoxan under less-than-ideal conditions, what can I do to improve its efficacy?
A: To enhance the effectiveness of Illoxan in situations such as those, simply add a nonionic surfactant at 0.25 percent by volume. For complete details, consult the label.
Q: In what states can I use Illoxan?
A: Illoxan is for use only in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North
Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico.
Q: What are some application tips that will help me control goosegrass with Illoxan?
A: 1) Best results come from early applications.
2) Spray well for good coverage.
3) Avoid applications to turfgrass under drought stress or stress from insects,
diseases, or nematodes.
4) Do not apply Illoxan through any type of irrigation system.
5) Do not tank mix Illoxan with any other liquid fertilizer.
