Application Tips
Apply Prograss® in the fall to coincide with the major Poa germination period so that Prograss can control Poa before it begins competing with the turfgrass. Because weed control programs with Prograss vary according to the type of turfgrass, check the label for specific rates and timing. Treatment usually consists of sequential applications 21 to 28 days apart.
In general, Prograss should be applied in the fall. If overseeded, do not apply sooner than six to eight weeks after seedling emergence of Kentucky bluegrass and creeping bentgrass. For ryegrass, treatment can be made as early as one to two weeks after seeding.
Spring applications are recommended following fall applications for ryegrass and bentgrass to enhance the rate of conversion to these turfgrasses. Spring applications are more effective if preceded by a fall program.
