How it Works

The active ingredient in ProStar®, Flutolanil, has a unique molecular structure and mode of action. This makes ProStar a valuable tool for use in a resistance management program in rotation with demethylase inhibitor (DMI) products, strobilurins and other fungicides.

ProStar inhibits the succinate dehydrogenase complex in fungi, preventing both normal fungal growth and penetration of the host tissue following infection. Also, ProStar does not have turf-regulating characteristics and will not interfere with growthregulating programs.

FAQ
Q: Is ProStar economical?
A: Yes. ProStar provides substantially longer residual protection than many other fungicides. Instead of the typical 7- to 10-day spray intervals, ProStar provides 14 to 21 days of protection against brown patch and 21 to 28 days against other registered diseases.

Q: Will ProStar damage fine turfgrasses?
A: No. ProStar is safe for fine turfgrasses, including red and tall fescue, bermudagrass, creeping bentgrass, St. Augustinegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescue, perennial ryegrass and zoysiagrass.
